What is Roller Derby?
Roller Derby is an exciting, fast-paced contact sport originating from America. Skaters travel around a circuit in teams; the goal to gain point from lapping the opposing team. During a jam, the timed period in which to score points, the 'lapping' is performed by a selected member of the team, called a jammer.
Both members and spectators for Roller Derby are growing fast, both in Australia and internationally, with many local, state, national, and international events held each year.
